First handicap race of the year, tonight at Birds Hill Park. 3 laps.

Its a cool style of racing, as anyone can win.

A style of road racing in Australia where riders are given time handicaps in bunches, with scratch being the last riders to leave and limit being the first riders to leave. The time intervals between groups, and the allocation of riders to groups is decided by the race handicapper, based on rider's ability, age and form. An outtake from the weekend. The paper went with a flying squirrel for Sundays cover, this image would probably freak out too many people..

Bopper, the Great horned owl at The Wildlife haven in Ile Des Chenes, MB's. During the 3rd annual Spring baby shower and fundraiser at the Ile Des Chenes Community Centre Saturday afternoon.

May 5 Crit

First crit of the year. I used to race these, and I always thought they were the hardest bicycle race. This is because there is a lot of hard braking and fast accelerating in and out of the corners. I remember saying after the first race, that I wish I crashed into a tree, as then the pain of the race would be over.
